Friday, September 26th, 6:30-9:30 at the Metropolitan Studios.
1259 Metropolitan Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316
For Bi+ Visibility Month, we’re shining the spotlight on YOU or a friend! Let’s get to know each other via short and sweet PowerPoints. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to put yourself out there to find some romance, this is your sign! Or if you’ve been feeling lonely and you need to make more queer friends, this is your sign, too! Is your bestie a total catch but hasn’t met anyone special yet? Here’s your chance to tell us about how cool they are (with their consent of course!)
Your assignment is to create a short 5-10 minute PowerPoint about you or your friend. Make sure to include relevant info, like what kind of relationships and connections you are open to, whether you are monogamous or polyamorous, your age, etc. Please also include a way for people to reach out to you, like an email, phone number, or social media handle. After you are done, please email your presentation to secretary (at) biplusga (dot) org. Please also fill out the sign-up sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ouNbnb8HDNfgaLxqgRxBeFPN2O2bZZ9SiFfjJ3VhCvM/edit?usp=sharing
We will be providing drinks, snacks, and name tags, and plan to use the last hour of our party as a chance to mingle and exchange contact info. On your name tag, alongside your name draw a smiley if you’re looking for friendship, a heart for romance, and a heart + infinity symbol for polyamorous romance.
PARKING/TRANSPORTATION:
Parking for Metropolitan Studios is in the back of the building and on the street. Please do not block the entrance or exits. You can also park in the lot next door beside the dumpster.
There are no nearby MARTA train stations- if you are taking MARTA please visit itsmarta.com/planstrip.aspx to find the best rail and bus route from your location (depending on which line you take either the Five Points or Inman Park/Reynoldstown will be your closest stations)
ACCESSIBILITY: Metropolitan Studios has a portable ramp to make the building wheelchair accessible and we have been informed that the doorways are big enough for most chairs. The stage, however, is not wheelchair accessible so when setting up chairs we will make sure there is ample floor room for presenting. If you have any other questions about accessibility please reach out to us at chair at biplusga.org
This is a mask required event (exceptions for eating/drinking). If you do not have a mask we will provide one.
